विशेष – अष्टमी को नारियल का फल खाने से बुद्धि का नाश होता है। (ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण, ब्रह्म खंडः 27.29-34)
ब्रह्म पुराण’ के 118 वें अध्याय में शनिदेव कहते हैं- ‘मेरे दिन अर्थात् शनिवार को जो मनुष्य नियमित रूप से पीपल के वृक्ष का स्पर्श करेंगे, उनके सब कार्य सिद्ध होंगे तथा मुझसे उनको कोई पीड़ा नहीं होगी। जो शनिवार को प्रातःकाल उठकर पीपल के वृक्ष का स्पर्श करेंगे, उन्हें ग्रहजन्य पीड़ा नहीं होगी।’ (ब्रह्म पुराण’)
शनिवार के दिन पीपल के वृक्ष का दोनों हाथों से स्पर्श करते हुए ‘ॐ नमः शिवाय।’ का 108 बार जप करने से दुःख, कठिनाई एवं ग्रहदोषों का प्रभाव शांत हो जाता है। (ब्रह्म पुराण’)
हर शनिवार को पीपल की जड़ में जल चढ़ाने और दीपक जलाने से अनेक प्रकार के कष्टों का निवारण होता है ।(पद्म पुराण)

यदि आपके साथ भी ऐसा कुछ हो रहा है या विशेषकर शनिवार के दिन कुछ नुकसान हो रहा है तो यह इस बात का संकेत है कि, शनि देव किसी न किसी कारण आपसे नाराज हैं. अगर आप शनि को प्रसन्न कर उनकी कृपा प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं तो शनिवार के दिन बिना किसी को बताए इन उपायों को जरूर करें.

शनिवार के दिन शनि यंत्र की पूजा की जाए तो इससे शनि देव की कृपा बरसती है. शनि देव के बुरे प्रभाव को शांत करने के लिए शनिवार के दिन शनि यंत्र की पूजा करें, मांसाहार का त्याग करें और अपने सामर्थ्यनुसार गरीबों को दान करें. इस दिन काली गाय को उड़द की दाल या तिल खिलाएं.

शनिवार को ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में पीपल पेड़ पर जल चढ़ाएं और ‘ऊं शं शनैश्चराय नम:’ मंत्र का जाप करें. इसके बाद पीपल को छूकर प्रणाम करें और सात बार परिक्रमा करें. इस उपाय से भी शनि महाराज शीघ्र प्रसन्न होते हैं.

कर्ज का बोझ अधिक बढ़ गया है तो इससे मुक्ति के लिए शनिवार के दिन काली गाय को बूंदी के लड्डू खिलाएं और उसके माथे पर कुमकुम का तिलक लगाकर गाय की पूजा करें. इससे कर्ज से मुक्ति मिलेगी.

शनिदेव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए शनिवार के दिन सरसों का तेल लेकर उसमें अपना चेहरा देखें और फिर इस तेल का दान कर दें.

शनिवार के दिन शाम को पीपल पेड़ के नीचे सरसों तेल के नौ दीप जलाएं और पीपल पेड़ की परिक्रमा करें. इसके बाद शनि देव से प्रार्थना करें. इस उपाय को करने से अच्छी नौकरी मिलने के योग बनते हैं.

शनिवार के दिन बिना किसी को बताएं तिल, काली उड़द, तेल, गुड़ , काले वस्त्र या लोहे का दान कर दें. शास्त्रों में कहा गया है, व्यक्ति को उसी दान का फल मिलता है, जो निस्वार्थ भाव और गुप्त तरीके से किया गया हो.

जन्म दिवस पर
जन्म दिवस के अवसर पर महामृत्युंजय मंत्र का जप करते हुए घी, दूध, शहद और दूर्वा घास के मिश्रण की आहुतियाँ डालते हुए हवन करना चाहिए। ऐसा करने से आपके जीवन में कितने भी दुःख कठिनाइयाँ, मुसीबतें हों या आप ग्रहबाधा से पीड़ित हों, उन सभी का प्रभाव शांत हो जायेगा और आपके जीवन में नया उत्साह आने लगेगा। अथवा शनिवार के दिन पीपल के वृक्ष का दोनों हाथों से स्पर्श करते हुए ॐ नमः शिवाय। का 108 बार जप करें।

जिसे मौत का भय होता है या घर में मौतें बार-बार होती हों, तो शनिवार को “ॐ नमः शिवाय” का जप करें और पीपल को दोनों हाथों से स्पर्श करें l खाली १०८ बार जप करें तो दीर्घायुष्य का धनी होगा l अकाल मृत्यु व एक्सिडेंट आदि नहीं होगा l आयुष्य पूरी भोगेगा l ऐसा १० शनिवार या २५ शनिवार करें, नहीं तो कम से कम ७ शनिवार तो ज़रूर करें l
