🔹नेत्रज्योति घटने व असमय चश्मा लगने के कारण

🔸बहुत ज्यादा व कम रोशनी में पढ़ने से, टी.वी., मोबाइल, लेपटॉप, कम्प्यूटर आदि के ज्यादा उपयोग से, रात्रि-जागरण, सुबह देर तक सोने से व दिन में सोने से, रात में स्नान करने से, धूल-धुएँ के आँखों में लगने से, नंगे सिर तेज धूप में बैठने या घूमने से, सूर्य को देखने से, नंगे पैर घूमने से, अंकुरित अनाज, दही, चाय-कॉफी, विरुद्ध आहार, फास्ट फूड आदि बाजारू चीजों तथा अधिक नमक, मसाले, खटाई वाले और तले हुए पदार्थों के सेवन से, रात को देरी से भोजन करने से तथा बिना प्यास के भी अधिक मात्रा में पानी पीने से आँखों की रोशनी कम होती है तथा असमय चश्मा लगाना पड़ता है ।

🔸आँखों को नुकसान पहुँचानेवाले उपरोक्त कारणों से बचें तथा नीचे दिये गये उपायों का अवलम्बन लें तो आपकी नेत्रज्योति सुरक्षित रहेगी और कम है तो बढ़ेगी ।

🔹नेत्रज्योति की सुरक्षा व वृद्धि के लिए🔹

🔸 सूर्योदय के समय हरी घास पर नंगे पैर चलें ।

🔸 हररोज प्रातः-सायं एक-एक मिनट तक पलकों को तेजी से खोलने तथा बंद करने का अभ्यास करें ।

🔸 नेत्रों की पलकों पर हाथ की उँगलियों को नाक से कान की दिशा में ले जाते हुए हलकी हलकी मालिश करें । पलकों से उँगलियाँ हटाते ही पलकें खोल दें और फिर पलकों पर उँगलियाँ लाते समय पलकों को बंद कर दें । यह प्रक्रिया आँखों की नस-नाड़ियों का तनाव दूर करने में सक्षम है ।

🔸पढ़ते समय रोशनी ठीक हो । आँखों और किताब के बीच कम-से-कम १२ इंच दूरी रखनी चाहिए ।

🔸 कम्प्यूटर, लेपटॉप आदि के उपयोग के दौरान हर २० मिनट में आँखों को विश्राम अवश्य दें । १-२ मिनट के लिए स्क्रीन से आँखें हटा दें । सम्भव हो तो आकाश की ओर या हरी घास, पेड़-पौधों आदि को निहारें ।

🔸 भोजन के बाद हथेलियों को रगड़कर कुछ सेकंड तक आँखों पर रखें ।

🔸 दिन में आधा गिलास पानी में आधा चम्मच (२ से ३ ग्राम) त्रिफला चूर्ण भिगोकर रखें । ४-५ घंटे बाद ३-४ परत किये हुए सूती कपड़े से छान लें । उस पानी को एक छोटे कप (Eye wash cup ) में लेकर आँख को उसमें १-२ मिनट तक मिचकायें, ऐसे ही दूसरी आँख से करें ।

🔸 आँवला-भृंगराज, नारियल, तिल आदि में से किसी तेल से सिर की मालिश करें । नाक में देशी गाय के घी की २-२ बूँद डालें ।

🔸रात को पैर के तलवों की घी से मालिश करना लाभदायी है । रात्रि को सोते समय शयनकक्ष में बिल्कुल अंधेरा हो ।

🔹आँखों के लिए लाभदायी आहार🔹

🔸गाय का दूध, घी, शुद्ध शहद, आँवला, मीठे अंगूर, केला, संतरा, पालक, गाजर, बथुआ, बादाम, जौ, मूँग, ककोड़ा, धनिया, सौंफ, पुनर्नवा, शतावरी, त्रिफला, गोमूत्र आदि ।

🔹नेत्रज्योति बढ़ाने व चश्मा छुड़ानेवाले औषधीय प्रयोग

🔸 नेत्रज्योतिवर्धक, दृष्टिप्रद त्रिफला रसायन का विधिवत् प्रयोग करें । १-१ बूँद संतकृपा नेत्रबिंदु आँखों में डालें । सर्दियों में सुबह खाली पेट आधा से १ चम्मच मामरा बादाम के मिश्रण का सेवन करें, बाद में २ घंटे तक कुछ न खायें ।

🔸 २-३ माह तक प्रातः खाली पेट गाय के दूध से बने आधा चम्मच ताजा मक्खन, आधा चम्मच पिसी हुई मिश्री व १ काली मिर्च का चूर्ण मिलाकर चाटें । इसके बाद कच्चे नारियल की गिरी के २-३ टुकड़े खूब चबा-चबाकर खायें, ऊपर से थोड़ी सौंफ चबा के खा लें । बाद में दो घंटे तक कुछ न खायें । यह आँखों की रोशनी बढ़ाने के साथ ही शरीर को पुष्ट और सुडौल बनानेवाला एक अनुभूत उत्तम प्रयोग है ।

कार्तिक माहात्म्य

नारदजी बोले:–
‘अब मैं कार्तिक व्रत के उद्यापन का वर्णन करता हूँ जो सब पापों का नाश करने वाला है।
व्रत का पालन करने वाला मनुष्य कार्तिक शुक्ला चतुर्दशी को व्रत की पूर्ति और भगवान विष्णु की प्रीति के लिए उद्यापन करे। तुलसी के ऊपर एक सुन्दर मण्डप बनवावे, उसे केले के खम्भों से संयुक्त कर के नाना प्रकार की धातुओं से उसकी विचित्र शोभा बढ़ावे।
मण्डप के चारों ओर दीपकों की श्रेणी सुन्दर ढंग से सजाकर रखे। उस मण्डप में सुन्दर बन्दनवारों से सुशोभित चार दरवाजे बनावे और उन्हें फूलों से तथा चंवर से सुसज्जित करे। द्वारों पर पृथक-पृथक मिट्टी के द्वारपाल बनाकर उनकी पूजा करे।
उनके नाम इस प्रकार हैं–जय, विजय, चण्ड, प्रचण्ड, नन्द, सुनन्द, कुमुद और कुमुदाक्ष। उन्हें चारों दरवाजों पर दो-दो के क्रम से स्थापित कर भक्ति पूर्वक पूजन करे।
तुलसी की जड़ के समीप चार रंगों से सुशोभित सर्वतोभद्रमण्डल बनावे और उसके ऊपर पूर्णपत्र तथा पंचरत्न से संयुक्त कलश की स्थापना करें।
कलश के ऊपर शंख, चक्र, गदाधारी भगवान विष्णु का पूजन करें। भक्ति पूर्वक उस तिथि में उपवास करें तथा रात्रि में गीत, वाद्य, कीर्तन आदि मंगलमय आयोजनों के साथ जागरण करें।
जो भगवान विष्णु के लिए जागरण करते समय भक्ति पूर्वक भगवत् सम्बन्धी पदों का गान करते हैं वे सैकड़ो जन्मों की पापराशि से मुक्त हो जाते हैं।
जो मनुष्य भगवान के निमित्त जागरण कर के रात्रि भर भगवान का कीर्तन करते हैं, उनको असंख्य गोदान का फल मिलता है।
जो मनुष्य भगवान की मूर्ति के सामने नृत्य-गान करते हैं उनके अनेक जन्मों के एकत्रित पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
जो भगवान के सम्मुख बैठकर कीर्तन करते हैं और बंसी आदि बजाकर भगवद भक्तों को प्रसन्न करते हैं तथा भक्ति से रात्रि भर जागरण करते हैं, उन्हें करोड़ो तीर्थ करने का फल मिलता है।
उसके बाद पूर्णमासी में एक सपत्नीक ब्राह्मण को निमंत्रित करें। प्रात:काल स्नान और देव पूजन कर के वेदी पर अग्नि की स्थापना करे और भगवान की प्रीति के लिए तिल और खीर की आहुति दे।
होम की शेष विधि पूरी कर के भक्ति पूर्वक ब्राह्मणों का पूजन करें और उन्हें यथाशक्ति दक्षिणा दें फिर उनसे इस प्रकार क्षमा प्रार्थना करें।
क्षमा-प्रार्थना–‘आप सब लोगों की अनुकम्पा से मुझ पर भगवान सदैव प्रसन्न रहें। इस व्रत को करने से मेरे सात जन्मों के किये हुए पाप नष्ट हो जायें और मेरी सन्तान चिरंजीवी हो। इस पूजा के द्वारा मेरी सभी मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण हों, मेरी मृत्यु के पश्चात मुझे अतिशय दुर्लभ विष्णुलोक की प्राप्ति हो।’
पूजा की समस्त वस्तुओं के साथ गाय भी गुरु को दान में दे, उसके पश्चात घरवालों और मित्रों के साथ स्वयं भोजन करें।
भगवान द्वादशी तिथि को शयन से उठे, त्रयोदशी को देवताओं से मिले और चतुर्दशी को सबने उनका दर्शन एवं पूजन किया इसलिए उस तिथि में भगवान की पूजा करनी चाहिए।
गुरु की आज्ञा से भगवान विष्णु की सुवर्णमयी प्रतिमा का पूजन करें। इस पूर्णिमा को पुष्कर तीर्थ की यात्रा श्रेष्ठ मानी गयी है।
कार्तिक माह में इस विधि का पालन करना चाहिए। जो इस प्रकार कार्तिक के व्रत का पालन करते हैं वे धन्य और पूजनीय हैं उन्हें उत्तम फल की प्राप्ति होती है।
जो भगवान विष्णु की भक्ति में तत्पर हो कार्तिक में व्रत का पालन करते हैं उनके शरीर में स्थित सभी पाप तत्काल नष्ट हो जाते हैं।
जो श्रद्धापूर्वक कार्तिक के उद्यापन का माहात्म्य सुनता या सुनाता है वह भगवान विष्णु का सायुज्य प्राप्त करता है।
