Opening Doors: Bihar Government Offers Exceptional Opportunities to Investors at Delhi Trade Fair

NEW DELHI: (November 23, 2025) Bihar Day was celebrated on Sunday at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi during the International Trade Fair, which started on November 14 and conclude on November 27. On this occasion, the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, and the Bihar Information Centre, New Delhi, organised a press conference. A cultural programme was also held in the Mandapam’s amphitheater, featuring folk artists from Bihar who captivated audiences with their music and dance.

Before the cultural programe, the press conference was addressed by Kundan Kumar (IAS), Resident Commissioner of Bihar in Delhi, Investment Commissioner and MD of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), and Joint Secretary Anil Kumar from the Industries Department. The conference was conducted by the Bihar Information Centre, Delhi, and attended by several officials, including Ved Vriti, Assistant Director, Bihar Information Centre, Delhi and Pavilion Director Sanjay Kumar Singh.

Kundan Kumar explained that the Bihar Pavilion at the 44th International Trade Fair is decorated in accordance with the IITF 2025 theme, “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” showcasing Bihar’s contributions. The pavilion has been beautifully adorned with traditional Bihari art by local artists, making it a major attraction for visitors. This year, the pavilion’s main entrance was modeled after the proposed Sitamata Temple in Punoura Dham, Sitamarhi, and adjacent to it is a replica of Pawapuri Temple. Other highlights include wall art depicting the Rajgir World Peace Stupa, Patna Metro, Mahabodhi Temple, and the Bihar Museum in the central hall.

Encouraging people to invest in Bihar, Kundan Kumar highlighted the state’s new Industrial Investment Policy 2025, describing it as one of India’s best. He invited everyone to invest in Bihar and take advantage of the exceptional packages available. Investors are being offered attractive concessions on GST and other items, granting some of the most appealing exemptions in India. Kumar stated that Bihar will soon be a leader in industry and urban development.

Describing the pavilion, Kumar noted it includes 65 stalls from departments such as handloom, handicrafts, Bihar Khadi Board, JEEViKA, BIADA, and Tourism. These feature unique products like the famous Katarni, Swarna Mansuri, Sonam rice varieties, Amrapali emporium items, Sudha dairy products, and other notable handloom and handicraft goods. In the pavilion’s central hall, visitors can view a Bihar Museum exhibition and enjoy live folk singing. At the fair’s food court, traditional Bihari cuisine is served by JEEViKA Didis at the Didi Ki Rasoi stall. This year, the role of women is specially highlighted in the pavilion under the theme “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.”

The state’s Mandap has received a unique design from the Upendra Maharathi Shilp Anusandhan Sansthan of the Department of Industries, tailored to this year’s fair theme by ITPO. Media In-Charge, Bihar Pavilion Rabindra Jha said the pavilion is attracting huge crowd.
