NEW DELHI, February 11: On the death anniversary of the visionary thinker Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, a significant literary contribution to Indian political thought was unveiled on Wednesday. The book titled ‘Samarpan’, authored by young writer Chandan Kumar, was officially launched at the Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Smriti Sadan, New Delhi.
The event, organised to commemorate Upadhyay’s legacy, saw a gathering of prominent figures from the ideological, social, and political landscapes.

India’s Third Way: Beyond Capitalism and Communism
Addressing the gathering, Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), remarked that at a time when the world was polarized between the ideologies of Capitalism and Communism, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay provided India with its own indigenous model.
“Integral Humanism is not merely a theoretical philosophy; it is the practical foundation of modern governance,” Chugh stated. He highlighted that current national policies regarding rural development, Antyodaya, food security, and social justice are reflections of this very vision.
From ‘Self’ to ‘Society’
Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, President of the Research and Development Foundation for Integral Humanism, noted that Upadhyay viewed politics as a medium for service (Sadhana) rather than a pursuit of power. He praised the book for introducing the youth to a life defined by simplicity and dedication.
Echoing these sentiments, Ravindra Madhav Sathe, Chairman of the Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board, described Upadhyay’s life as a journey from “Swa” (Self) to “Samashti” (Society).

In a video message, Rajya Sabha MP C. Sadananda Master added that a nation is defined by its cultural consciousness rather than just its geographical borders.
A Milestone for Young Authorship
The publisher, Ramakant Pandey of Sahitya Kendra Prakashan, revealed that the book has already seen an overwhelming response, with over 500 copies distributed prior to the formal launch—a notable feat for a young author in the non-fiction genre.
The speakers also paid homage to Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, emphasizing that the fusion of education and traditional values remains the bedrock of nation-building.

The stage was graced by:
• Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sharma, President, Research and Development Foundation for Integral Humanism.
• Shri Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
• Shri V. Satish, National Organizer, BJP.
• Shri Ravindra Madhav Sathe, Chairman, Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board (Minister of State rank).
• Shri C. Sadananda Master, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha (via video message).
The ceremony concluded with an appeal to widely disseminate the book’s message, ensuring that the philosophy of Integral Humanism reaches every corner of the new generation in an accessible language.
