तुलसी के पौधे में देवी लक्ष्मी का वास माना जाता है। हिंदू मान्यताओं के अनुसार, सुबह-शाम इस पौधे की पूजा करने से मां लक्ष्मी की कृपा बनी रहती है। यह भी माना जाता है कि अगर घर में लगा तुलसी का पौधा हरा-भरा हो, तो कभी भी दरिद्रता नहीं आती है। ऐसे में यदि आप अपने घर में तुलसी का पौधा लगा रहे हैं, तो कुछ जरूरी नियम जान लें।
यह दिन है सबसे उत्तम
धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, गुरुवार और शुक्रवार का दिन तुलसी का पौधा लगाने के लिए बहुत शुभ माना जाता है। चैत्र माह के गुरुवार या शुक्रवार को तुलसी का पौधा लगाया जाए, तो यह और भी शुभ फल प्रदान करता है। वहीं, अगर आप आर्थिक तंगी से जूझ रहे हैं, तो शनिवार के दिन तुलसी का पौधा घर में लगाएं। इस पौधे को शनिवार के दिन अभिजीत मुहूर्त (सुबह लगभग 11 बजे से 12 बजे के आसपास) में लगाना लाभकारी होता है।

इस महीने में लगाएं पौधा
तुलसी का पौधा लगाने के लिए अक्टूबर और नवंबर का महीना सबसे अच्छा माना जाता है। इसके अलावा फरवरी माह में भी तुलसी का पौधा लगाने की सलाह दी जाती है। क्योंकि यह मौसम सामान्य रहता है। ऐसे में तुलसी का पौधा लगाने से यह सूखता नहीं है।

इस दिन न लगाएं तुलसी का पौधा
ज्योतिष मान्यताओं के अनुसार सोमवार, रविवार और बुधवार के दिन तुलसी का पौधा लगाना शुभ नहीं माना जाता है। एकादशी तिथि के दिन भूलकर भी घर में तुलसी का पौधा न लगाएं। इसके कारण अशुभ परिणाम प्राप्त हो सकते हैं।
गुरुवार के दिन अगर घर में तुलसी का पौधा स्थापित किया जाए तो भगवान विष्णु की कृपा सदैव बनी रहती है. वहीं हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार, कार्तिक का महीना तुलसी के पौधे को लगाने के लिए सबसे ज्यादा अच्छा होता है. क्योंकि इस पूरे महीने में मां तुलसी की पूजा की जाती है.
