विशेष – हर एकादशी को श्री विष्णु सहस्रनाम का पाठ करने से घर में सुख शांति बनी रहती है l    राम रामेति रामेति । रमे रामे मनोरमे ।। सहस्त्र नाम त तुल्यं । राम नाम वरानने ।।
आज एकादशी के दिन इस मंत्र के पाठ से विष्णु सहस्रनाम के जप के समान पुण्य प्राप्त होता है l
एकादशी के दिन बाल नहीं कटवाने चाहिए।
एकादशी को चावल व साबूदाना खाना वर्जित है | एकादशी को शिम्बी (सेम) ना खाएं अन्यथा पुत्र का नाश होता है।
जो दोनों पक्षों की एकादशियों को आँवले के रस का प्रयोग कर स्नान करते हैं, उनके पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं।

निर्जला एकादशी विशेष:

18 जून को सूर्योदय से पूर्व जल ग्रहण करना है।
19 जून को स्थानीय सूर्योदय के बाद निर्जला एकादशी का पारण करना है।

एकदाशी में क्या करें, क्या ना करें ?

1. एकादशी को लकड़ी का दातुन तथा पेस्ट का उपयोग न करें, नींबू, जामुन या आम के पत्ते लेकर चबा लें और उँगली से कंठ शुद्ध कर लें । वृक्ष से पत्ता तोड़ना भी वर्जित है, अत: स्वयं गिरे हुए पत्ते का सेवन करे ।
2. स्नानादि कर के गीता पाठ करें, विष्णु सहस्रनाम पाठ करें ।

हर एकादशी को श्री विष्णु सहस्रनाम का पाठ करने से घर में सुख शांति बनी रहती है l

राम रामेति रामेति। रमे रामे मनोरमे।। सहस्त्र नाम त तुल्यं। राम नाम वरानने।।
एकादशी के दिन इस मंत्र के पाठ से विष्णु सहस्रनाम के जप के समान पुण्य प्राप्त होता है l

3. `ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय’ इस द्वादश अक्षर मंत्र अथवा गुरुमंत्र का जाप करना चाहिए ।
4. चोर, पाखण्डी और दुराचारी मनुष्य से बात नहीं करना चाहिए, यथा संभव मौन रहें ।
5. एकदशी के दिन भूल कर भी चावल नहीं खाना चाहिए न ही किसी को खिलाएं । इस दिन फल आहार अथवा घर में निकाला हुआ फल का रस अथवा दूध या जल पर रहना लाभदायक है ।
6. व्रत के ( दशमी, एकादशी और द्वादशी ) – इन तीन दिनों में काँसे के बर्तन, मांस, प्याज, लहसुन, मसूर, उड़द, चने, कोदो (एक प्रकार का धान), शाक, शहद, तेल और अत्यम्बुपान (अधिक जल का सेवन) – इनका सेवन न करें ।
7. फलाहारी को गोभी, गाजर, शलजम, पालक, कुलफा का साग इत्यादि सेवन नहीं करना चाहिए । आम, अंगूर, केला, बादाम, पिस्ता इत्यादि अमृत फलों का सेवन करना चाहिए ।
8. जुआ, निद्रा, पान, परायी निन्दा, चुगली, चोरी, हिंसा, मैथुन, क्रोध तथा झूठ, कपटादि अन्य कुकर्मों से नितान्त दूर रहना चाहिए ।
9. भूलवश किसी निन्दक से बात हो जाय तो इस दोष को दूर करने के लिए भगवान सूर्य के दर्शन तथा धूप-दीप से श्रीहरि की पूजा कर क्षमा माँग लेनी चाहिए ।
10. एकादशी के दिन घर में झाडू नहीं लगायें, इससे चींटी आदि सूक्ष्म जीवों की मृत्यु का भय रहता है ।
11. इस दिन बाल नहीं कटायें ।
12. इस दिन यथाशक्ति अन्नदान करें किन्तु स्वयं किसीका दिया हुआ अन्न कदापि ग्रहण न करें ।
13. एकादशी की रात में भगवान विष्णु के आगे जागरण करना चाहिए (जागरण रात्र 1बजे तक) ।
14. जो श्रीहरि के समीप जागरण करते समय रात में दीपक जलाता है, उसका पुण्य सौ कल्पों में भी नष्ट नहीं होता है । इस विधि से व्रत करनेवाला उत्तम फल को प्राप्त करता है ।

अहित करने वाले के साथ करें ये उपाय

अगर कोई आपके पीछे पड़ा हुआ है और कैसे भी आपका अहित करना चाहता है तो नियमित हनुमान जी को गुड़ या बूंदी का भोग लगाएं. इसके अलावा हनुमान जी को प्रसन्‍न करने के लिए हनुमान जी को लाल रंग का गुलाब का फूल चढ़ाएं और बजरंग बाण का पाठ करें.

प्रदोष व्रत
हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार, प्रत्येक महिने की दोनों पक्षों की त्रयोदशी तिथि पर प्रदोष व्रत किया जाता है। ये व्रत भगवान शिव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए किया जाता है। इस बार 19 जून, बुधवार को प्रदोष व्रत है। इस दिन भगवान शिव की विशेष पूजा की जाती है। प्रदोष पर व्रत व पूजा कैसे करें और इस दिन क्या उपाय करने से आपका भाग्योदय हो सकता है, जानिए…
ऐसे करें व्रत व पूजा
प्रदोष व्रत के दिन सुबह स्नान करने के बाद भगवान शंकर, पार्वती और नंदी को पंचामृत व गंगाजल से स्नान कराएं।
इसके बाद बेल पत्र, गंध, चावल, फूल, धूप, दीप, नैवेद्य (भोग), फल, पान, सुपारी, लौंग, इलायची भगवान को चढ़ाएं।
पूरे दिन निराहार (संभव न हो तो एक समय फलाहार) कर सकते हैं) रहें और शाम को दुबारा इसी तरह से शिव परिवार की पूजा करें।
भगवान शिवजी को घी और शक्कर मिले जौ के सत्तू का भोग लगाएं। आठ दीपक आठ दिशाओं में जलाएं।
भगवान शिवजी की आरती करें। भगवान को प्रसाद चढ़ाएं और उसीसे अपना व्रत भी तोड़ें।उस दिन ब्रह्मचर्य का पालन करें।
ये उपाय करें
सुबह जल्दी उठकर स्नान आदि करने के बाद तांबे के लोटे से सूर्यदेव को अर्ध्य देें। पानी में आकड़े के फूल जरूर मिलाएं। आंकड़े के फूल भगवान शिवजी को विशेष प्रिय हैं । ये उपाय करने से सूर्यदेव सहित भगवान शिवजी की कृपा भी बनी रहती है और भाग्योदय भी हो सकता है।
