अक्षय फलदायी “अक्षय तृतीया”
10 मई 2024 शुक्रवार को अक्षय तृतीया है ।
वैशाख शुक्ल तृतीया की महिमा मत्स्य, स्कंद, भविष्य, नारद पुराणों व महाभारत आदि ग्रंथो में है । इस दिन किये गये पुण्यकर्म अक्षय (जिसका क्षय न हो) व अनंत फलदायी होते हैं, अत: इसे ‘अक्षय तृतीया’ कहते है । यह सर्व सौभाग्यप्रद है ।
यह युगादि तिथि यानी सतयुग व त्रेतायुग की प्रारम्भ तिथि है । श्रीविष्णु का नर-नारायण, हयग्रीव और परशुरामजी के रूप में अवतरण व महाभारत युद्ध का अंत इसी तिथि को हुआ था ।
इस दिन बिना कोई शुभ मुहूर्त देखे कोई भी शुभ कार्य प्रारम्भ या सम्पन्न किया जा सकता है । जैसे – विवाह, गृह – प्रवेश या वस्त्र -आभूषण, घर, वाहन, भूखंड आदि की खरीददारी, कृषिकार्य का प्रारम्भ आदि सुख-समृद्धि प्रदायक है ।
प्रात:स्नान, पूजन, हवन का महत्त्व
इस दिन गंगा-स्नान करने से सारे तीर्थ करने का फल मिलता है । गंगाजी का सुमिरन एवं जल में आवाहन करके ब्राम्हमुहूर्त में पुण्यस्नान तो सभी कर सकते है । स्नान के पश्चात् प्रार्थना करें :
माधवे मेषगे भानौं मुरारे मधुसुदन ।
प्रात: स्नानेन में नाथ फलद: पापहा भव ॥
‘हे मुरारे ! हे मधुसुदन ! वैशाख मास में मेष के सूर्य में हे नाथ! इस प्रात: स्नान से मुझे फल देनेवाले हो जाओ और पापों का नाश करों ।’
सप्तधान्य उबटन व गोझरण मिश्रित जल से स्नान पुण्यदायी है। पुष्प, धूप-दीप, चंदनम अक्षत (साबुत चावल) आदि से लक्ष्मी-नारायण का पूजन व अक्षत से हवन अक्षय फलदायी है ।
जप, उपवास व दान का महत्त्व
इस दिन किया गया उपवास, जप, ध्यान, स्वाध्याय भी अक्षय फलदायी होता है । एक बार हल्का भोजन करके भी उपवास कर सकते है । ‘भविष्य पुराण’ में आता है कि इस दिन दिया गया दान अक्षय हो जाता है। इस दिन पानी के घड़े, पंखे, (खांड के लड्डू), पादत्राण (जूते-चप्पल), छाता, जौ, गेहूँ, चावल, गौ, वस्त्र आदि का दान पुण्यदायी है । परंतु दान सुपात्र को ही देना चाहिए ।
पितृ-तर्पण का महत्त्व व विधि
इस दिन पितृ-तर्पण करना अक्षय फलदायी है । पितरों के तृप्त होने पर घर में सुख-शांति-समृद्धि व दिव्य संताने आती है ।
विधि : इस दिन तिल एवं अक्षत लेकर र्विष्णु एवं ब्रम्हाजी को तत्त्वरूप से पधारने की प्रार्थना करें । फिर पूर्वजों का मानसिक आवाहन कर उनके चरणों में तिल, अक्षत व जल अर्पित करने की भावना करते हुए धीरे से सामग्री किसी पात्र में छोड़ दें तथा भगवान दत्तात्रेय, ब्रम्हाजी व विष्णुजी से पूर्वजों की सदगति हेतु प्रार्थना करें ।
आशीर्वाद पाने का दिन
इस दिन माता-पिता, गुरुजनों की सेवा कर उनकी विशेष प्रसन्नता, संतुष्टि व आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करें । इसका फल भी अक्षय होता है ।
अक्षय तृतीया का तात्त्विक संदेश
‘अक्षय’ यानी जिसका कभी नाश न हो । शरीर एवं संसार की समस्त वस्तुएँ नाशवान है, अविनाशी तो केवल परमात्मा ही है । यह दिन हमें आत्म विवेचन की प्रेरणा देता है। अक्षय आत्मतत्त्व पर दृष्टी रखने का दृष्टिकोण देता है । महापुरुषों व धर्म के प्रति हमारी श्रद्धा और परमात्म प्राप्ति का हमारा संकल्प अटूट व अक्षय हो – यही अक्षय तृतीया का संदेश मान सकते हो।

Vaishakh Shukla Tritiya is glorified in texts like Matsya, Skanda, Bhavishya, Narad Puranas and Mahabharata etc. The good deeds done on this day are eternal (which does not decay) and give infinite results, hence it is called ‘Akshay Tritiya’. This is all fortunate.
This is Yugadi Tithi i.e. the starting date of Satyayuga and Tretayuga. The incarnation of Shri Vishnu in the form of Nar-Narayan, Hayagriva and Parashuramji and the end of the Mahabharata war took place on this date.
On this day, any auspicious work can be started or completed without seeing any auspicious time. Such as marriage, house-warming or purchase of clothes-jewellery, house, vehicle, plot etc., starting of agricultural work etc. are the providers of happiness and prosperity.
Importance of morning bath, worship, havan
By taking bath in Ganga on this day, one gets the results of performing all the pilgrimages. Everyone can take holy bath in Brahmamuhurta by remembering Gangaji and invoking water. Pray after bath:
Madhve meshage bhanoun murare madhusudan.
Nath Falad: Papaha Bhava while bathing in the morning.
‘Hey Murare! Hey Madhusudan! O Nath, the Sun is in Aries in the month of Vaishakh! By taking bath this morning, become fruitful for me and destroy my sins.
Bathing with water mixed with Saptadhya Ubtan and Gojharan is beneficial. Worship of Lakshmi-Narayan with flowers, incense-lamp, Chandanam Akshat (whole rice) etc. and Havan with Akshat is fruitful.

Importance of chanting, fasting and charity
Fasting, chanting, meditation and self-study done on this day are also fruitful. You can fast even after eating a light meal once. It is mentioned in ‘Bhavishya Purana’ that the donation given on this day becomes inexhaustible. Donating water pitchers, fans, sugar laddus, shoes and slippers, umbrellas, barley, wheat, rice, cows, clothes etc. on this day is considered auspicious. But donation should be given only to the deserving person.
Importance and method of Pitru Tarpan
Offering prayers to ancestors on this day is fruitful. When the ancestors are satisfied, happiness, peace, prosperity and divine children come to the house.
Method: On this day, take sesame seeds and Akshat and pray to Lord Vishnu and Brahmaji to come in their elemental form. Then mentally invoking the ancestors and having the feeling of offering sesame seeds, Akshat and water at their feet, gently leave the contents in some vessel and pray to Lord Dattatreya, Brahmaji and Vishnuji for the salvation of the ancestors.

On this day, serve your parents and teachers and get their special happiness, satisfaction and blessings. Its fruit is also eternal.
The spiritual message of Akshaya Tritiya
‘Akshaya’ means that which can never be destroyed. The body and all the things of the world are perishable, only God is indestructible. This day inspires us to introspect.
