विशेष – पंचमी को बेल खाने से कलंक लगता है । षष्ठी को नीम की पत्ती, फल या दातुन मुँह में डालने से नीच योनियों की प्राप्ति होती है । (ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण, ब्रह्म खंडः 27.29-34)

चैत्र नवरात्रि
धर्म शास्त्रों के अनुसार नवरात्रि की पंचमी तिथि को स्कंदमाता की पूजा की जाती है । स्कंदमाता भक्तों को सुख-शांति प्रदान करनेा वाली हैं । देवासुर संग्राम के सेनापति भगवान स्कन्द की माता होने के कारण मां दुर्गा के पांचवे स्वरूप को स्कन्दमाता के नाम से जानते हैं ।
पंचमी तिथि यानी नवरात्रि के पांचवे दिन माता दुर्गा को केले का भोग लगाएं व गरीबों को केले का दान करें । इससे आपके परिवार में सुख-शांति रहेगी ।

स्कंद पुराण में लिखा है चैत्र मास की शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी (13 अप्रैल 2024 , शनिवार) को लक्ष्मी माता के 12 मंत्र बोलकर, शांत बैठकर मानसिक पूजा करे और उनको नमन करें तो उसको भगवती लक्ष्मी प्राप्त होती है, घर में लक्ष्मी स्थायी हो जाती हैं । उसके घर से आर्थिक समस्याएँ धीरे धीरे किनारा करती हैं । बारह मंत्र इस प्रकार हैं –
